TAICHUNG, Taiwan (BRAIN)—Giant Manufacturing Co. is reportedly at its bicycle production capacity until next June, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Of course, I have a feeling this whole financial meltdown thing will continue past June of ‘09.

I’d create jobs like there was no tomorrow. My car is broken, so I’d hire 20,000 people to carry it mosh-pit-style into town whenever I needed to go shopping. I’d finance the arts, creating thousand-person choral groups to Rickroll my enemies in front of their own houses. Rush Limbaugh would be serenaded wherever he went from a fleet of low-flying zeppelins.

George W. Bush, for his part, is hopeless and hapless. Worse than a lame duck, he’s a seriously disabled parakeet, with no remaining store of public trust.
Emphasis mine. Reich was Clinton’s labor secretary and he and Robert Rubin have dueled on the correct course for the American economy since their days on Clinton’s Cabinet – both are now advisors for Obama. This is a pretty scary time, but thankfully we have the election to distract us for the time being. No, I’m not being sarcastic. If it wasn’t for the election and being super-busy at work, I’d be freaking out about what little money I have and the security of the funding for my education.
I know there aren’t many people that read this, but I just wanted to put this out there: isn’t is a little bit odd that the Republicans, aka “Free-market capitalists,” are the one freaking nationalizing the mortage and insurance industries?
I didn’t want to actually own these business, dammit…
